ADHD Testing and Neurocognitive Evaluation

A real evaluation, not a fifteen minute conversation. Structured testing, developmental history, and Creyos cognitive measurement.

Plenty of people arrive here having already been told they probably have ADHD. What they usually have not had is an evaluation thorough enough to act on, which is the difference between a label and a treatment plan.

What the evaluation includes

  • Structured rating scales completed by you, and by a parent or partner where that adds signal
  • Developmental, academic and work history, because ADHD is a lifelong pattern and the diagnosis depends on evidence that symptoms showed up early
  • Creyos cognitive testing, which measures attention, working memory and executive function directly rather than relying only on how you describe yourself
  • A differential, because anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and trauma all produce inattention and treating the wrong one costs months

Why Creyos is part of it

Self-report is necessary and it is not sufficient. People underestimate and overestimate their own attention, and by the time most adults seek an evaluation they have built years of compensating habits that mask the underlying pattern. Creyos gives an objective layer alongside the history.

Creyos is one component of the evaluation rather than a standalone product. There is no separate cognitive-testing appointment to book.

What happens after

You get the findings explained plainly, including what the testing did and did not show. If ADHD is diagnosed, treatment options are discussed before anything is prescribed, and those options include medication management, therapy and skills work, or a combination. If ADHD is not the answer, you leave with a clearer sense of what is.

Common questions

How long does an ADHD evaluation take?
It depends on age and complexity, so we will give you a realistic answer when you call rather than a number that fits everyone. Evaluation is a process rather than a single appointment.
Do you evaluate adults, or only children?
Both. Adult ADHD is frequently identified late, often after a child in the family is evaluated first.
Is Creyos testing an extra appointment?
No. Creyos is one component of the ADHD evaluation, not a separate service to book.
Will insurance cover the evaluation?
Coverage for testing varies by plan more than coverage for standard visits does. Send us your insurance details and we will check your benefits before you commit.
